“The best way to prepare for growth is to make clear, in public venues, exactly what it is you value about your community and your area and immediately begin protecting those values.”  - Donald Snow, Whitman College Professor.

The Imagine the Methow Campaign is about more than raising money and protecting acres.  It is about preserving the Methow’s irreplaceable sense of community and ensuring that future generations can know a landscape and community like we all cherish today.

As Donald Snow notes, the first step is making clear what we value.  We can imagine no better way to do that than to gather the stories from people like you – people who love the Methow Valley.  We hope you will share your story with us below.  As we gather these stories, we’ll post them on this site.

It takes a community to protect a place as special as the Methow Valley.

Please share your favorite story of the Methow.  Or, finish one of these sentences:
I imagine a Methow where……..
I need the Methow…………….
I hope that future generations will find a Methow Valley where….
