This recreational wonderland didn’t happen by chance. Did you know:
- The Methow Valley is home to the second largest Nordic trail system in the country, with more than 200 kilometers of interconnected trails maintained by the Methow Valley Sport Trails Association.
This system is unique: more than 160 families volunteer to let skiers pass through their private land.
- 19 families along the ski trail system have voluntarily placed conservation easements on their land—permanently protecting more than 1,443 acres. Conservation easements ensure that the Methow Valley will continue to provide wide open vistas, healthy wildlife habitat, and rejuvenating solitude.
- The Methow Conservancy helps steward these lands for future generations and has protected more than 5,800 acres throughout the Methow Valley.
Each of us has an opportunity to help shape the future of the Methow Valley.
