It is hard to imagine a place more beautiful than the Methow Valley.With its spectacular ridgelines, pastoral farmlands, rich wildlife habitat, and endless adventure trails, this is a priceless and irreplaceable landscape.

Most of us can imagine no better place to be.  There is, however, only one Methow Valley in the world and we cannot take it for granted, assuming it will always be as it is today.  In fact, the Methow Valley stands today at an important crossroads.  Growth in a beautiful valley like this may be inevitable.  The question before each of us is how we will grow.

Imagine the Methow:  The Campaign for Conservation is our community’s once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to determine what the Methow Valley will look like in 100 years. 

The Imagine the Methow Campaign is raising $20 million in public and private funds and the value of donated conservation easements to help the Methow Conservancy protect critical Methow Valley land by working with willing private landowners.  Guided by the belief that not all private land can or should be protected, our campaign will only protect the Methow’s best habitat, working soils, and scenic views using conservation easements.

Each of us, whether we work, live, or play in the Methow Valley has our own reason to love it here.  Imagine the Methow:  The Campaign for Conservation is our opportunity to stand together in protecting this rare and beautiful place, preserving the possibilities for the future—of farming as a way of life, of a community grounded in the natural beauty and rural character of the region, and of a place where people and wildlife flourish.
